Message From Vincent Mokwadi, Toro Ya Africa’s General Manager

Once again, TORO has surpassed its expectations and is on the verge of achieving yet another milestone in its existence. TORO has continued to distinguish itself, through partnership with the Department of Human Settlements, in ensuring Government’s commitment to provide adequate housing for South Africans is realised.

TORO will be handing over the Rustenburg CRUs on Wednesday 16 April at 14:00 in Seraleng. We expecting dignitaries from all spheres of Government. The event will  highlight Government’s progress in addressing Housing backlog in South Africa.

TORO has also been invited to the Govan Mbeki Awards where various stakeholders are recognised for their contribution towards achievement of DHSS’ objectives. We also would like to take this opportunity to inform our staff members that the Department of Human Settlements in the North West won the National Govan Mbeki Award for 2013. This is again to indicate the impact that our individual contribution has in ensuring that the North West Province delivers housing to its people and is recognised accordingly.

Furthermore, TORO continues to show its commitment to the Corporate Social Responsibilities within the communities that we have operations in. TORO will be handing over a house, that we have built together with the SABC and other partners, to the Mosiane Family in Mafikeng on 25 April 2014. This event will reaffirm TORO’s commitment to ensuring that our communities are integrated through Human Settlements.

Management would like to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone of you for your contribution on the achievement of the milestones. The value of your contribution is immeasurable, irrespective of your category of employment.

Bravo Zulu
