The brainchild of Ramakgalo Solomon Letsatsi and Frederik Nel, Toro Ya Africa (”The African Dream”) was founded in 2003, amidst a massive backlog in national housing provision.
The company is registered with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and as a subsidy builder with the National Home Builders’ Registration Council (NHBRC) and the Master Builders Association (MBA) North the company has established itself a leading national developer-contractor. A specialist in the area of greenfields low-cost housing developments.
Toro also has extensive experience in affordable housing, Community Rental Units, infrastructure and hostel instruction
Winning the Govan Mbeki Award for Subsidy Builder of the year 2008,2009,2012,2013,2014 speaks volumes about the esteem with which the company is regarded at Government level.
